The municipality wants to hear from business owners across Chatham-Kent.
The latest Employer One survey is underway, gauging workforce challenges and successes in the last year.
Victoria Bodnar with Resident Attraction and Retention says they’re also checking to see how local business has changed since the start of the pandemic.
“A lot of what we saw last year in the survey has changed, some historical trends, and some things in ways that are positive,” Bodnar explains. “For example, we saw last year that more employers were promoting their jobs or posting their jobs digitally as a key recruitment tool. Some of the things we hear are great news and we want to celebrate. Some things are validating some of the anecdotal experience you hear throughout the year.”
Bodnar says even if employers have taken part in the survey in years’ past, the business sector has changed over the course of the pandemic.
“Some of these questions will be new to employers who’ve filled it out before, specifically around work-from-home, to try to see how those opportunities are being leveraged or not in our community.”
The EmployerOne survey is for all business owners and leaders, regardless of the number of employees a particular business might have.
The survey takes between 10-30 minutes to complete – CLICK HERE for more information.
The survey results will be posted on the municipality’s website in early 2023.
