Thousands of dollars will be raised to help those in need in Wallaceburg.
Today marks the 49th annual Childs Family Luncheon at the Black Goose Grill.
The sold out event will be serving 590 meals and is expected to raise over $10,000.
75% of today’s proceeds will support the Salvation Army while the remaining 25% is earmarked for the Wallaceburg Pantry food bank, a partnership between Knox Presbyterian Church and the First Baptist Church.
Since its inception, the fundraising luncheon has raised close to $365,000 to help those less fortunate in Wallaceburg.
