The giving spirit is alive and well at a local elementary school.

Students at Christ the King Catholic School in Wallaceburg recently collected more than 1,200 non-perishable food items, filling a large trailer.

The food was then donated to the St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank, housed at Our Lady Help of Christians Church.

The Advent project was led by the school’s Social Justice team.
