
The holidays are upon us, and with them come several service and government office closures.
Municipal offices and most services will close at noon on December 24, and then be closed all day on December 25 and 26, including the Chatham and Dresden Service Ontario locations.
All branches of the Chatham-Kent Public Library will also be closed from December 24-26.
Curbside garbage and recycling collection will be delayed by one day for those with collection on December 25 and 26.
Ride CK Services will not be running on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, and all municipal arenas will also be closed.
The Provincial Offences Court will be closed to the public between December 24-26. During office closures, fines can continue to be paid online at paytickets.ca.
Some healthcare services at the Chatham and Wallaceburg sites of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance will also be altered for the Christmas holidays.
While outpatient diagnostic tests will take place throughout the holidays, the TIA and CAD clinics, the Outpatient Mental Health and Addictions Program, and the RAAM clinic will all be closed on December 25 and 26.
Outpatient Lab Services, Pre-Surgical Screening Department, Patient Appointment Office, and the Oncology Department will also be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
Outpatient Rehabilitation Services and the Pulmonary Function Lab at the Chatham and Wallaceburg sites will not be available from December 25, 2025, to January 1, 2026.
The Emergency Departments at CKHA’s Chatham and Wallaceburg sites will remain open 24 hours daily.
