With the holidays upon us, several services in Chatham-Kent will be closed next week as those in the municipality celebrate Christmas with friends and family.
Municipal offices and most services will be closed on December 25, 26, and 27, including the Chatham and Dresden Service Ontario locations.
All branches of the Chatham-Kent Public Library will also be closed from December 25-27.
Curbside garbage and recycling collection will be delayed by one day for the week of December 26.
Ride CK Services will not be running on Christmas Day and Boxing Day and all municipal arenas will also be closed.
Cemetery staff will be on call for funeral homes that require at-need sales.
The Provincial Offences Court will be closed to the public between December 25-29, but phones will be answered on December 27, 28 and 29.
Some healthcare services at the Chatham and Wallaceburg sites of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance will also be altered for the Christmas holidays.
While outpatient diagnostic tests will take place throughout the holidays, outpatient Rehabilitation, the Presurgical Screening Department, and the Musculoskeletal Rapid Assessment Clinic will not be available on December 25 and 26.
Ambulatory Care, Outpatient Lab Services, the Oncology department, the TIA and CAD clinics, the Diabetes Education Centre, the Outpatient Mental Health and Addictions Program, and the RAAM Clinic will also be unavailable on December 25-26.
As well, the Pulmonary Function Lab at the Chatham and Wallaceburg sites will be closed from December 25 to January 1.
The Emergency Departments at CKHA’s Chatham and Wallaceburg sites will remain open 24 hours daily.
