A Chatham-Kent festive tradition kicks off today. christmas-trees

The five-day Christmas in Muskoka fundraiser helps to support more than 400 Grade 7 students to attend the Muskoka Leadership Camp this spring.

Organizer Gerri Brown says in addition to the many events this week, there’s also an opportunity to win fully decorated Christmas trees.

“We have 34 beautifully decorated trees, thanks to our schools and our many sponsors throughout the community,” Brown says. “There’s something for everybody, there’s family night themed trees, there’s a baseball themed tree that even has opening day tickets for the Tigers.”

The event kicks off with a senior’s tea at the Chatham Breakfast House today.
