Wallaceburg’s hospital is a little more festive today following the lighting of the Christmas Wish Tree.
CKHA Foundation president Mary Lou Crowley says this year’s Wish Tree campaign helps to purchase two patient ventilators for the ERS in Wallaceburg and Chatham and three paediatric cribs for the women and children’s department.
“Our goal is $95,000 and the last number that I heard we are up to is about $78,500,” Crowley says. “We have until the middle of January to go, so we are very confident that we will exceed that goal.
In 30 years, the CKHA’s Christmas Wish Tree campaign has raised almost $3-million to support health care in the community.
A similar lighting ceremony is being held at the Chatham campus tonight.
