A local organization is inviting residents to tap into their inner science buff.
WATCH Citizen Science is hosting a Lunch, Learn and Share at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 18 in Wallaceburg next month.
Tickets are now on sale for the event, which starts at 11am on Tuesday, February 10. Guests will be able to enjoy lunch together, talk about local waterways, and share what they have noticed over the years. Organizers say no scientific background is required, only an interest in conversation and observation.
WATCH, also known as the Wallaceburg Advisory Team for a Cleaner Habitat, was launched in 2003, and serves as an environmental grassroots organization focusing on education, awareness, and public dialogue on spill prevention, monitoring of air and water sheds and transparency.
Tickets for the February 10 event are $15 and can be purchased online at www.citizenscience.ca.
