CK Appoints New Integrity Commissioner

Paul Watson is stepping aside as Chatham-Kent’s Integrity Commissioner to make way for his successor.

Mary Ellen Bench is taking over the role, which includes the duties of Closed Meeting Investigator.

She’ll hold the position for at least two years, with possible extensions to double that time.

There’s a significant pay boost, to $1,000/day or $500/half day billed, mileage and disbursements and $100 a call regarding Conflict of Interest questions.

That stipend is in line with neighbouring municipalities.
