Chatham-Kent has ended the fiscal year with nearly $2 million in profits from hosting Cascades Casino.
The municipality has received $1,839,337 from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) through the Municipality Contribution Agreement over the course of the 2025/2026 fiscal year.
The funds are put toward local infrastructure projects and community programs.
“OLG revenue continues to play an important role in strengthening our community,” said CK Mayor Darrin Canniff in a news release. “These funds help us invest in the services, programs and local initiatives that residents rely on every day. Through programs like Together CK, we’re able to support events, community projects and grassroots organizations that bring people together, enhance quality of life, and contribute to the vibrancy of Chatham-Kent.”
Since April 2001, the municipality has received $21,382,260 in host fees from both the former Dresden Slots and the current Cascades Casino.
