Chatham-Kent Community Health Centres (CKCHC) is welcoming a new physician to its team in Chatham.
Dr. Malay Shah will officially join the CKCHC team on Monday as a full-time physician at the organization’s Chatham site.
“I appreciate the many health challenges that are faced by regional and rural towns, and look forward to using my experience to support this community,” said Dr. Shah in a news release.
Dr. Shah received his undergraduate degree in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Sydney and completed his fellowship at the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He also holds a Diploma in Child Health from Sydney Children’s Hospital Network at the University of Sydney.
Since August 2018, Dr. Shah has been working as a family practice physician at Gateway Health in Wangaratta, Australia. After moving to Canada in 2023, Dr. Shah joined the College of Family Physicians of Canada to practice medicine in Canada completing locum work with CKCHC this past year.
Dr. Shah will not be accepting new clients at this time.
