On April 26th Chatham Kent Council enacted a temporary woodlot removal by-law to be in place for 120 days.

Now, the Municipality is inviting residents to share their views on the issue of woodlot preservation in the community.

Residents can access an online portal where they are guided through a series of questions and asked to share their thoughts on options to manage woodlots through potential education programs, incentives and regulations.

You can access the online platform to offer your thoughts at www.letstalkchatham-kent.ca.

The Consultation on Council’s Woodlot Motion Project will be open until July 9th.

There is also a Virtual Town Hall meeting planned for Tuesday, June 29th from 6 to 8pm. You can find details about the event at the online platform link above.
