CK Council Going Virtual

It’s a first for Chatham-Kent Council.

Thanks to new changes to Ontario’s Municipal Emergency Act, municipal governments now have the option of running virtual council meetings in order to maintain social distancing during the coronavirus pandemic – an option Chatham-Kent will be taking full advantage of tonight.

A special meeting will be held at 5:45 to amend Chatham-Kent’s own procedural bylaw before the regular council meeting gets underway at 6.

Local residents interested in a deputation are asked to email ckclerk@chatham-kent.ca or call the Civic Centre at 519-360-1998 for a PIN number to participate.

You can also watch the meeting online at on YourTV’s Facebook page or the YourTv YouTube channel. It will also be streamed on the municipality’s Facebook page.
