Another vet clinic could be coming to Wallaceburg.

During tonight’s Chatham-Kent planning meeting, council is expected to approve a zoning bylaw amendment to allow for a new veterinary clinic on the northwestern corner of the Margaret Avenue and Main Street intersection. The building that the proposed veterinary clinic is going into, used to be a jewellery store up until the end of 2022.

The planning meeting will also consider a rezoning application for a proposed subdivision north of Chatham-Kent Secondary School. Single-detached, semi-detached, and row houses have all been proposed within the development.

Also on the agenda is a proposed by-law zoning amendment to allow for a ground floor cafe in a six-storey 82 unit apartment building that’s currently under construction on Grand Avenue East.
