One of the main focuses for Chatham-Kent council this term has been environmental issues. The topic will be back in the spotlight at tonight’s virtual council meeting.
Council declared a climate emergency in July of 2019.
At tonight’s council meeting, a comprehensive 76 page report will outline environmental milestones as the municipality works to mitigate and adapt to climate change, as well as developing a climate change action plan.
The report provides information on such things such as updated community and corporate greenhouse gas emission inventories.
