CK Council To Vote On Vaccine Policy

Get fully vaccinated against COVID-19, or if you don’t you will have to be tested, and often.

That’s basically Chatham-Kent’s vaccination policy for employees.

At tonight’s council meeting the municipality’s recently developed vaccination policy will be presented to council.

Unlike other public sector employers, Chatham-Kent is looking to strike a balance with those employees who are  exempt from getting the vaccine or who refuse to get vaccinated.

Employees who do not provide proof of full vaccination, will be required to provide COVID-19 negative test results every three days, conducted on their own time and at their own cost.

Council will look to approve a vaccine policy for council members at tonight’s meeting.
