Another day, another jump in local COVID cases.

There are 16 new cases being reported by Public Health today and six resolved, raising the active caseload to 122.

Of those 122 cases, officials say only 7, or 5.9%, have been fully vaccinated.

CKHA officials say there are now 10 local residents are being treated for the virus at the Health Alliance, two of whom are in the ICU. Of the 10 COVID patients, two have been fully vaccinated.

There are still two active outbreaks, including three cases linked to the medicine unit at the Chatham hospital, and four connected to an un-named workplace.

Across Ontario, there are 848 new cases being reported along with 11 deaths linked to the virus.

361 people are being treated in hospitals province-wide, plus another 177 in ICU.
