CK COVID Cases Back Down to 17

A slight dip in Chatham-Kent’s COVID numbers today. Public Health is reporting one new case and two recoveries, lowering the total active caseload to back down to 17.

Two COVID patients have been discharged, leaving four local residents at the Health Alliance battling the virus.

Province-wide, Ontario is reporting 469 new cases today and another 18 deaths linked to COVID-19.

Vaccination efforts continue, including a mobile clinic held at the Bothwell Arena today. Public Health says roughly 63% of Chatham-Kent residents over the age of 12 have now received at least their first shot.

Second doses are currently being booked for those 70 and older and anyone who received a Pfizer or Moderna vaccine on or before April 18th.
