There is still one active outbreak linked to the Community Living summer program.

A jump in cases across Ontario, with the province reporting 213 new infections today, up from just under 140 yesterday. Another 14 Ontarians have died as a result of the virus.

Meantime, Public Health continues to try to increase Chatham-Kent’s youth vaccination rate.

A special mobile clinic is being held at Tilbury District High School Friday from 10am to 3pm for those aged 12-17 looking to get their first or second dose.

Appointments are encouraged but walk-ins will be accepted while supplies last.

As it stands, 54% of pre-teens and teenagers in Chatham-Kent have received at least their first shot of COVID vaccine, 37% are fully vaccinated with both shots.
