CK Groups Benefit from Revived Grow Grants

A funding program through the Ontario Trillium Foundation has been revived to support non-profit groups across Chatham-Kent and all of Ontario.

More than $45-million is being invested in Grow grants through the Ontario Trillium Foundation for 140 non-profit organizations, Indigenous communities and small municipalities to help expand and improve their programs and services.

Among this year’s recipients is the Learning Disabilities Association of Chatham-Kent with $373,600 in funding to create a social and academic tutoring program for elementary students with a learning disability or ADHD.

R.O.C.K., or Reach Out Chatham-Kent has been given $600,000 over three years to support those experiencing homelessness through outreach, drop-in services, peer support, community education, and awareness building.

This is the first round of Grow grants since 2019. During the pandemic, Grow grants were paused, and funding was diverted to the temporary Resilient Communities Fund to help non-profits manage pandemic-related challenges.
