The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is holding a public information meeting on Thursday ahead of a major construction project in Wallaceburg.

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent will host the meeting on the rehabilitation of Dufferin Avenue at the Wallaceburg Service Centre, between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Construction on the 1.9 km section of Dufferin Avenue from McNaughton Avenue to 90 metres west of Walnut Drive is expected to begin this month and continue until November.

Along with the road, construction crews will be replacing storm sewers, watermains, sidewalks, and traffic signals.

An exact start date has not yet been announced.
