Recruiters didn’t have to go far to find new leadership at the Chatham-Kent Hospice.
The Chatham-Kent Hospice Board of Directors has hired Jessica Smith as the hospice’s full-time executive director, effective July 22.
Smith has served as a shared executive director for both the hospice and St. Andrew’s Residence since 2014. The board announced in March that the hospice is now in need of its own, full-time executive director to meet its strategic objectives.
“Jessica, through the cooperation of St. Andrew’s Residence, has been providing executive director services for [the] hospice since its inception and now with this appointment, she will be solely dedicated to leading our organization into the future,” said board chair Graham Kemble in a news release.
The board said Smith was selected for her new role following a thorough selection process led by executive recruitment firm Logic Executive Search and Workplace Solutions.
The Chatham-Kent Hospice is a 10-bed residential facility that offers end-of-life care for residents and support for their loved ones.
