The hospice in Chatham-Kent has been recognized for its dedication to providing the highest-quality palliative care to local residents.
The Chatham-Kent Hospice has achieved re-accreditation from Hospice Palliative Care Ontario (HPCO) for the 2025–2028 term.
Accredited hospices undergo a rigorous review of their overall performance by industry professionals.
“Going through the accreditation process gave us the opportunity to evaluate our practices, strengthen what was working well, and identify areas for enhancement,” said Jessica Smith, the executive director of the Chatham-Kent Hospice, in a news release.
Accreditation signifies that an organization, institution or program complies with industry standards. It also serves as an indicator of commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
