A local man is facing charges after allegedly making threats when he was asked to leave a Chatham home.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a Wedgewood Avenue residence in Chatham for a disturbance at around 9:40 p.m. on Sunday.
Officers located the accused inside the home and learned that he had allegedly threatened an occupant. Authorities said the man was also bound by a probation order and a release order not to communicate with the occupant or attend the address.
As a result, a 47-year-old man was arrested and charged with failing to comply with an undertaking, failing to comply with a probation order, and uttering threats. He was taken to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
