A Chatham-Kent man is dead following an accident in Elgin County.
Provincial Police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Richmond Road near Malahide Township about 9 o’clock Saturday night.
Authorities say two pick-ups were traveling side by side when one rolled several times in a ditch, ejecting two men from the vehicle. One person died at the scene, the other in hospital.
The local victim was 26-year-old Neil Banman of Chatham-Kent, the other victim is 29-year-old Peter Harder of Aylmer.
The driver of the second truck was not injured but charged with two counts each of impaired driving, dangerous driving causing death, and failing to stop at an accident resulting in death.
