Another Chatham-Kent resident has died from COVID-19. Public Health says a woman in her 80s passed away in hospital on Friday. The latest death is Chatham-Kent’s 13th since the pandemic began.
Another outbreak has been declared at AA Wright Public School in Wallaceburg with two confirmed cases. Public Health officials say cohorts from both WDSS and UCC isolating as well, including approximately 40 students each from the Pines and WDSS, and 30 from A.A. Wright.
The outbreak at UCC remains on the books, although no new cases have been linked.
Public Health is still keeping tabs on the outbreak at Hudson Manor Retirement Home in Tilbury and two un-named workplaces. One of the workplace outbreaks from last week has now been cleared.
The overall number of active cases in the municipality has dropped to 45 with 29 cases resolved and 9 new since Friday.
