CK Moves Into Yellow-Protect

Chatham-Kent has now moved into the Yellow-Protect level of Ontario’s COVID prevention framework.

The main difference between this and the Green-Prevent tier where we have been is seating limits for indoor restaurants, capacity for sports and rec facilities, and increased education and enforcement.

You can read the full rundown of the new restrictions on the provincial website – click here.

As for the surrounding regions, Middlesex is also in Yellow-Protect, Windsor-Essex and Elgin are both in the Orange-Restrict level, while Sarnia-Lambton remains in Green-Prevent.

There are currently 32 active cases of COVID-19 in Chatham-Kent, based on the last update from Public Health on Friday.
