The Chatham-Kent airport experienced a huge downturn in business the past two years due to COVID-19.
In a report to council, it shows that the pandemic played a role in the reduced amount of business in 2020, but bounced back a bit in 2021.
The airport has plans to expand in the future, with the proposed construction of two additional private corporate hangars, expansion of the taxiway and apron and the addition of scheduled air service to Toronto.
In a bid to increase revenue, the airport also plans on having a flight school operating out of the airport, which is located just west of Blenheim.
