Chatham-Kent police made a traffic stop Saturday morning that resulted in a large drug seizure and arrest.

About 10 am an officer stopped a vehicle on Pinehurst Line that had improper plates.

During the investigation the officer learned the driver was prohibited from driving.

Police say a search of the car turned up a large amount of Canadian currency, suspected crystal meth and a digital scale.

The estimated street value of the drugs is $26, 280 dollars.

A 31 year old Chatham man was charged with driving while prohibited, possession for the purpose of trafficking, and breach of probation.

He has been remanded until Friday.
