CK Police Issue Another Scam Warning

Another possible phone scam is going around, and Chatham-Kent Police are warning residents about it.

Authorities say a Bothwell woman received a call from someone claiming to be from the Canada Revenue Agency. The caller said she owed them $3000. Police say the call was fraudulent.

Revenue Canada says that they won’t ask for personal information by text message or e-mail, and they’ll never ask for payment by credit card or gift cards.
