Chatham-Kent police say a local man had a very busy morning.
At 8:50 this morning police arrested a man who failed to attend court to give a DNA sample.
He gave the sample and was released an hour later.
10 minutes later police responded to a robbery at the CIBC branch on King Street in Chatham.
He gave the teller a note but fled before he received any cash.
10 minutes later, a similar call to the Scotia Bank on King Street where again, a man handed the teller a note but this time got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Through investigation police determined it was the man from earlier in the morning and he was arrested at 10:30 am.
A 31 year old Chatham man was charged with 2 counts of robbery and held pending a bail hearing.
