Chatham-Kent’s Gay Pride Association is preparing for a week-long celebration of love and inclusion.
After last year’s festivities were cancelled because of the pandemic, CK Pride Week returns August 16th with a slew of events planned.
Various community groups and agencies are supporting the cause, including the public library, Children’s Services, St Andrew’s United Church, and the Chatham Cultural Centre.
Everything begins Monday with rainbow flag raising ceremonies at the Dresden Town Hall and the Civic Centre in Chatham.
Other festivities include an online trivia night, history of pride window display at ARTspace, virtual drag queen show, and an inclusive worship service.
