CK Public Health Preparing For COVID Boosters

Chatham-Kent Public Health is shifting gears with its COVID vaccine clinics.

The province announced this week it is expanding eligibility for the third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine or as some are calling it, the booster shot.

Starting tomorrow, more high risk individuals will be eligible and will eventually roll out the booster shots for everyone 12 and up.

It must be 6 months since their last dose. Individuals aged 70 and older will be eligible, as will health care workers; those who received two doses of AstraZeneca; and First Nation, Inuit, and Metis adults and any non-Indigenous household members.

Public Health will be going back to a “appointment only” status, meaning walk-ins will no longer be accepted.

Eligible residents can book their booster shot at www.GetYourShotCK.ca or by calling 519-351-1010.
