In an effort to help Wheatley downtown businesses recover after a gas explosion last month, Chatham-Kent council voted at their online meeting last night to reallocate municipal grants for various events and community projects towards the BIAs business recovery and community revitalization initiatives taking part this year.
The explosion closure and evacuation area has impacted 37 businesses.
In total close to $13,500 will be reallocated.
