Hosting Cascades Casino in Chatham continues to pay dividends for the municipality.
Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) has made the first quarter payment to Chatham-Kent totalling $342,044 for hosting the gaming site.
The total payment is based on the amount of gaming revenue generated at Cascades Casino from April 1 to June 30.
Since April 2001, Chatham-Kent has received $16,488,811 from OLG, including host fees from both the former Dresden Slots and the current Cascades Casino.
Funds are put toward local infrastructure projects and community programs.
