If you’ve ever been tied up in traffic due to construction you didn’t know about, relief is here.
The municipality of Chatham-Kent is launching a website that will allow people to see all roads, bridges, sewers and water main work currently slated for this year.
Also included is non-municipal projects like the Highway 40 overpass at Highway 401 and the Union Gas panhandle project.
“We’re mindful of how projects can create traffic issues for residents,” says Adam Sullo, Chatham-Kent’s Director of Engineering and Transportation. “It’s important for us to keep residents informed on why we’ve undertaken the work, whether we’re on schedule and when things will get back to normal.”
The website even includes details of the work, timing, weekly progress updates, and traffic tips.
