A number of local schools continue to deal with the virus.
Over 100 students and 15 staff remain under quarantine from Dresden Area Central School this week in connection to two probable cases of COVID-19.
Public Health now says there’s been one confirmed case each in the school communities of Winston Churchill Public School and Chatham-Kent Secondary School in Chatham, however it’s not believed there is any impact to either school and no students or staff have been dismissed.
There are now two confirmed cases in the school community of Queen Elizabeth II in Chatham, one reported on Monday with no impact on staff or students; and one from December 3rd that sent an unspecified number of students into quarantine.
Tilbury District High School has had three confirmed cases in the last week, but again Public Health doesn’t believe there to be any impact to the school as a whole.
At the St Clair Catholic District School Board, there is just the one confirmed case at St Angela Merici with no students or staff being quarantined.
All schools remain open.
