Chatham-Kent Victim Services is recruiting volunteers to help provide support to community members who have been impacted by crime, tragedy, or trauma.
The organization is looking to recruit community crisis responders who will ho provide emotional support to people in their most painful moments and refer them to community resources that can provide assistance.
Those interested in volunteering must be 18 or older and have a valid driver’s license and phone. Volunteers must also commit to 36 hours of on-call shifts per month.
Chatham-Kent Victim Services will offer two training classes on November 4-5 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
