With Halloween just a few weeks away, municipal officials are deferring to the province on guidelines about whether it will be safe to allow children to head out for trick-and-treating.
April Rietdyk, general manager of community human services, said as of earlier this week there has been no direction from the province about recommendations on Halloween plans.
Rietdyk said the province is currently working on providing guidance on Thanksgiving, Halloween and Remembrance Day.
“As soon as we have that update, we will get that out to council and the community,” Rietdyk said.
