Three local students will be heading off to university in the fall with a helping hand from their family’s colleagues.

The Chatham-Kent Association of Realtors awards scholarships to graduates from the families of their members for post-secondary education. This year, three deserving recipients have each been awarded a $500 scholarship to support their university studies in Ontario.

Liam Cobb, whose grandfather is Brian Peifer a member of C.K.A.R, will be attending Toronto Metropolitan University. Xavier Lemky, whose stepfather is Chris Papple a member of C.K.A.R, will be attending Western University in London. Aiden Spafford, whose father is Chris Spafford a member of C.K.A.R, will be attending McMaster University in Hamilton.

The scholarship program is open to members of the Chatham-Kent Association of Realtors, who have a child, stepchild, grandchild, niece, nephew, or ward under legal guardianship who wish to apply.

Individuals must be accepted into an accredited college or university, community college, or recognized technical or trade school at the time the award is issued.
