It’s been one year since a provincial investigator released a report into the governance and operation of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.
Supervisor Rob Devitt says a lot has changed in that time, especially when it comes to the future of the Sydenham District Hospital.
“A year ago the status of the campus in Wallaceburg was unclear. We’ve been very clear that this is an organization with two sites anchored by two emergency departments,” says Devitt. “We’ve started with Lori and team on facility renewal on both campuses to enable that.”
Devitt says provincial funding to help renovate the hospital’s power plant is a huge first step in renewing the Sydenham Campus.
