CKHA Adds New Pediatrician To Women And Children’s Department

The pediatric team at Chatham-Kent’s hospital now has a full complement of staff with the addition of its newest physician.

The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) has hired Pediatrician Dr. Jashan Uppal to the hospital’s Women and Children’s department.

Dr. Uppal earned her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree in 2021 from Kasturba Medical College in India. She then completed her Pediatrics Residency at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan in Detroit.

With the addition of Dr. Uppal, CKHA’s pediatric team is now fully staffed with six experienced specialists. Beyond general pediatric care, the team offers specialized outpatient services, including minor procedures such as newborn circumcisions and frenectomies.

Referrals to the pediatric team can be sent through a patient’s local health care provider.
