The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance is teaming up with local paramedics to treat residents suffering from seasonal ailments.

Today marks the opening of a temporary Seasonal Care Clinic to provide timely clinical services to those dealing with cough, cold, and flu symptoms, and other minor ailments.

The clinic, which is being run out of a mobile trailer outside the Emergency Department in Chatham, is meant for anyone who does not have a primary care provider or cannot be seen in a timely manner.

The goal, along with treating local residents, is to help ease the pressure on the ER during the seasonal surge of cold, flu, and respiratory illnesses. Patients will be seen on a walk-in basis and are asked to check in at the Emergency Department’s registration desk.

The clinic will be open 10am to 5:30 today through Sunday, as well as November 29th, December 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Moving forward, officials say the clinic’s hours will vary from week to week.

Please visit CKHA’s social media channels and website www.ckha.on.ca for more information on clinic hours.
