CKHA Back Under Local Control

The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance is back on track after being under provincial supervision for a year and a half.

Rob Devitt left the role of Supervisor on Saturday, and is handing the responsibility over to the new board of governors.

Recently appointed Chair Greg Aarssen says he brings a lot of experience to the position.

“I’ve been a entrepreneur and a business guy for more than 30 years, I have some formal education in business and I’m a lawyer as well,” Aarssen explains. “I bring some of those what I’ll call technical skills, but I’ve also been on a number of community boards all through my career and have gained an understanding of what it takes to work with people and work with the community.”

Aarssen says the other board members have experience in accounting, business, and nursing.

The board officially took over the reins on April 1st.
