CKHA Becoming More Energy Efficient

Both CKHA campuses are getting some provincial money to reduce their energy usage.

The Erie St. Clair LHIN is putting $2.4-million dollars into efficiency upgrades at hospitals from Windsor to Sarnia.

The vast majority of that money is coming to the Sydenham District Hospital, where $1.5-million will go towards the HVAC system.

The Chatham site will benefit from nearly $300,000 to upgrade roofing and exterior windows throughout the campus.

It’s part of a province wide $64-million investment in energy efficiency in hospitals.
