There has been a COVID-19 outbreak declared on the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance’s rehabilitation and stroke unit.
Three patients have tested positive for the virus as a result of transmission within the hospital.
The CKHA is working closely with Chatham-Kent Public Health to control the outbreak, and also on the contact tracing in an effort to identify any other individuals may have been exposed.
this is the second outbreak declared at CKHA in the last week. Two patients in the medicine unit tested positive earlier in the week.
As long as the outbreaks are active, caregivers and visitors are not allowed in the units.
