The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation is bringing back its popular 50/50 draw.

Last year’s Ignite Healthcare fundraiser was a huge success, raising a total of $345,740 with the money divided between the hospital foundation and the winner, Emily Geroux of Highgate.

So organizers are at it again, with proceeds from the 2021 draw going to support cardiac care at the Health Alliance and the purchase of new electrocardiograph machines for both sites in Wallaceburg and Chatham.

“The Igniting Healthcare 50/50 provides a really exciting opportunity to raise funds for our hospital” says Mary Lou Crowley, President and CEO of the CKHA Foundation. “We have been so blessed to have such incredible support from our community – it really is the community who makes this campaign so successful.”

Pending Provincial lockdown measures, the Foundation plans to be out in the community once again for in-person ticket sales with locations in Blenheim, Chatham, Dresden, Erieau, Ridgetown, Tilbury, and Wallaceburg, as well as new locations this year in Thamesville and Wheatley.

Tickets are also available online, along with real-time tracking of the constantly growing jackpot at www.ignite5050.ca.

Tickets go on sale May 20th. This year’s draw will take place on Thursday August 5 at 1pm.
