A record-breaking year for the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation Charity Golf Tournament.
The 21st annual event was held Friday, June 5 at Maple City Country Club with 152 golfers, over 40 volunteers, and more than 35 sponsors.
In all, the tournament brought in $154,647 in net proceeds, exceeding all expectations and surpassing last year’s total.
“The continued growth and success of this tournament speak volumes about the generosity of our community and the incredible commitment so many individuals and organizations have to supporting exceptional healthcare close to home,” said said Christine Mitchell, CKHAF President and CEO in a news release.
The tournament’s online auction raised $14,682 with more than 75 donated items up for grabs.
Proceeds from the tournament will support the Highest Priority Needs at CKHA, helping fund vital equipment, technology, and facility enhancements at both the Chatham and Wallaceburg hospital sites.
