A new fundraiser has joined the team at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation.
Melissa Hunter has been named the organization’s Director of Development, leading the Foundation’s fundraising efforts with a special focus on the ongoing redevelopment of the Wallaceburg site.
The Wallaceburg project includes an $8.9 million local fundraising initiative, which will be one of Hunter’s primary goals.
“Melissa is an exceptional philanthropist with a wealth of experience and strong community relationships throughout the Windsor-Essex area, and on behalf of the Foundation team and Board of Directors, I cannot express how fortunate and excited we are to welcome Melissa to the CKHA family,” said Christine Colautti, CKHAF President & CEO. “With the Foundation and CKHA currently working on the Our Hospital, Our Future Wallaceburg Site Redevelopment project, which will require an $8.9 million local share investment from our community, Melissa will play a pivotal role in helping our team successfully reach this goal.”
Hunter received her Certified Fund Raising Executive credentials earlier this year, passing a rigorous written exam testing her knowledge, skills, and abilities as a fundraising executive, while also agreeing to uphold stringent Accountability Standards and the Donor Bill of Rights.
“I am so excited to be joining the Foundation team, and working with the staff, Board, our hospital colleagues, and this wonderful community,” stated Melissa. “I look forward to growing donor support to fund high priority equipment and technology needs at CKHA, and working hard to connect the communities of Chatham-Kent in support of high quality healthcare in our local hospital sites.”
