The fundraising arm of Chatham-Kent’s hospital has become the first healthcare organization in Canada to utilize artificial intelligence to connect with donors.
The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation (CKHAF) has launched an AI-powered virtual engagement officer called “Emma”, which is designed to share updates, answer questions and provide personalized opportunities to support local healthcare.
“We are proud to be at the forefront of innovation in healthcare philanthropy, but what excites us most is what this can mean for our supporters,” said foundation President and CEO Christine Mitchell in a news release. “Emma gives us another way to stay connected, share the impact donors are making and help people engage with our mission in ways that are relevant to them.”
Powered by Givzey and run through Version2.ai, Emma was introduced to donors this summer and will be connecting with supporters by email and text throughout the year.
